1980 - Prince opened his 1980 tour in Minneapolis' Orpheum Theater.

1980 - Prince's single "I Wanna Be Your Lover" hit #13 on the U.S. R&B chart, #4 on the Dance/Disco chart and #20 on the U.S Hot 100.

1980 - Prince's single "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" debuted at #64 on the U.S. R&B chart.

1983 - Prince's "Little Red Corvette" was released in the U.S. The song became Prince's biggest hit in the U.S. to date.

1993 - Carmen Electra's self-titled album was released. The album featured several songs written by Prince.

1998 - Prince released a press release announcing the forthcoming album "Crystal Ball."
